Monte Verde Art Glass Studio started 11 years ago in a very small studio in Claremont, NH and has continued to grow over the years and has relocated to larger facilities to accomodate the growing interest in their classes and products. Moishe Ragieme has been doing fused art glass for the past 25 years and has shown in many juried shows and fairs, as well as in small galleries. His work can be seen in private collections and at Canterbury Hill Studio & Gallery, in Rockport, MA. His passion for art came from his mother who was an airbrush artist, painter, wood worker, and photographer. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon and adopted at a young age, by American parents, and has traveled around the world extensively. His art is influenced by his religious beliefs (Jewish), Japanese Art, and the functionality of art pieces in the home. Co-owner, colorist, photographer, and business partner, Christopher Doherty, has helped to develop the color and art esthetics that have made Monte Verde Art Glass Studio what it is today. They work together to produce over 45 different functional art pieces for the home, and are the instructors for the classes they offer.
The studio can custom make many of the pieces featured on their website. If you like a product but want to consider having it made in a different color, do not hesitate to call Chris or Moishe, and ask for a quote. We will ship your piece to you, but shipping is not included in the price. Many exciting changes are coming for the studio and the website, so continue to watch for details. You can follow them on Facebook as well.
